FATAL NUMBER NINE AND TEN IN CUT AND SHOOT THIS MORNING

At 6:41 a.m. this morning during the icing event MCHD and Cut And Shoot Fire Department responded to a major accident on the Caney Creek bridge just east of Willis Waukegan. When they arrived on the scene they found a 1993 Toyota Tacoma pickup with both occupants deceased. The cab had been ripped off the frame.

In addition they talked with Richard Warren, age 38 of Conroe who was driving a 2003 one-ton Chevrolet pickup. The driver who was the lone occupant was uninjured. 

DPS worked he accident and reported that the Chevrolet was eastbound on the bridge. The Toyota westbound. The Toyota began to spin on the ice ad struck the Chevrolet.

The road remains closed due to the ice. As the temperature is still at 28 degrees.

The two men age 56 and 31 were transported to Dallas County Forensic Center by Metcalf Funeral Home. They were from Honduras and the names have not been released until notification of next of kin. Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Lanny Moriarty order an autopsy.
