Just before 5 p.m. MCHD received a report from a Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputy who came up on a one car rollover on South Loop 336 just west of Interstate 45. They arrived on the scene along with Conroe Fire Department. The victim was trapped and unresponsive. Once Conroe was able to free him from the vehicle the victim went into traumatic arrest. He was transported to Conroe Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
According to Conroe Police the 35-year-old male was driving westbound on South Loop West near the old Park and Ride facility. For unknown reasons he left the roadway in his 1999 Saturn 2C and ran into a ditch with approximately 18 inches of water in it.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Degner ran up on the scene and attempted to render medical assistance as fire and ems were enroute.
Conroe Fire Department was able to free the man at which time he went into traumatic arrest. He was transported to Conroe Regional Hospital with CPR in progress. He was pronounced dead at Conroe Regional.
Justice of the Peace Trey Spikes ordered an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death. Him leaving the roadway could indicate a medical condition.
At this hour Conroe Police are attempting to locate the family here in Conroe to notify them of his death. Once that is accomplished we will post the name.
8:45pm-The driver of the vehicle who lost his life this evening has been identified as Chadwick Oller, 35 of Conroe.
