WEST MONTGOMERY COUNTY- A two-alarm fire gutted a Magnolia home around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday night. Magnolia Fire Chief Gary Vincent said they arrived to find heavy fire through the roof of the rear of the structure.
After making sure no one was inside, they began an aggressive attack on the fire, Vincent said.
“We were able to extinguish the fire and save about half of the house,” Vincent said.
The Montgomery and Tomball Fire Departments assisted.
Vincent said hot weather with high humidity in addition to the fire itself made the situation especially uncomfortable for firefighters, but they continued until their work was done.
