Just before 6 a.m. Wednesday morning Conroe Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 600 block of Garrett which is just east of Interstate 45. When they arrived they had heavy fire conditions.

An adult male was transported to the hospital in stable condition with smoke inhalation. Also in the home but uninjured were two small children, two young adults and their infant child.

The Conroe Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the blaze.

    I happen to know the young lady that lived here! And what does it matter about how much their cars or house is worth to you, LocalDrifter! What matters….. is that they all got out alive! I am thankful for that!I Don’t mean to be rude but that was a comment that did not have to be made! God Bless them and their family. She just had a baby and also has a 6 year old daughter, and lost everything they had! Will gladly take donations of clothes for this family!!

    Glad everyone got out safely and there were no fatalities. ‘Tis the season for house fires, so be careful with those space heaters folks.
