Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation Awards Grant to EMCFD

From East Montgomery County Fire Department / ESD #7:

We are pleased to announce that Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation has awarded the East Montgomery County Fire Department a grant for $8,086.00 for the purchase of sixty (60) 50ft sections of NFPA approved TRU-ID 1.75 inch fire hose. This fire hose awarded will be used to replace all of our apparatus cross lays and hose bundles throughout our fleet and allow for spare hose to be loaded onto our apparatus after a fire. With this award, every time our personnel deploys this hose on fires it is reassuring to know that our fire hose otherwise known as our “lifeline” will be double-jacketed, kink resistive, lighter weight, higher quality, and approved to NFPA standards so that we may perform our job and extinguish the fire as safely as possible. Without Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, this purchase and replacement of all new fire hose on every one of our apparatus would not have been possible.
