Rainfall totals in Northwest Harris County are almost at 10-inches in places yet no major flooding is being reported. Some of the smaller creeks are at almost bankfull but Spring Creek and Cypress Creek which were major factors several months ago are still within their banks. Cypress Creek at N. Eldridge is currently less than 18-inches from the top of the bank. That area received just under 10 inches of rain since midnight. Where Cypress Creek crosses SH 249 the water is just under 4-feet from the top of the bank. That area received almost 7-inches of rain since midnight. At I-45 it is 8-feet from the top of the bank. Veterans Memorial Cypress Creek is less than 2-feet below the bank.
Spring Creek whichhas also had a lot of flow is more than 10-feet below the bank at I-45 and 14-feet below at SH 249.
