FM 1485 which i a major connection between Montgomery County and Harris County is closed. Many Baytown and East Harris County plant workers who reside in Montgomery County use this road. At this time it is closed at the County line due to the East Fork of the San Jacinto River over the roadway. Motorists must detour back to US 59 and travel south to FM 1960 then east to Huffman. The road will remain closed until the water recedes. TXDOT has signs posted from Loop 494 to the closure warning the road is closed. Earlier an intoxicated driver went around the barricades resulting in his arrest. TXDOT now has trucks also blocking the roadway.
