FM 1485 REOPENS AFTER FATAL CRASH

At 8:15 am Monday MCHD and East Montgomery County Fire were dispatched to an auto pedestrian crash at Bryant Circle and FM 1485. An off duty Harris County deputy on his way to an extra job reported a male had been struck by a Jeep and was unresponsive. Fire and EMS arrived on the scene and started CPR but is was determined the male was deceased. DPS arrived on the scene and transported the male driver of the Jeep to the hospital for a mandatory blood draw to determine if he was impaired. Preliminary investigation showed the Jeep was northbound on FM 1485 when the male ran across the road in front of the Jeep. The victim has not yet been identified. The driver of the Jeep was released from the scene showing no signs of impairment. THe only damage to the Jeep was a left headlight. At 10 am FM 1485 reopened to traffic.
