FM1314 REOPENS AFTER SINGLE VEHICLE

At approximately 6:30pm Frankie Hernandez of Conroe was on his way home from work on FM 1314 when he lost control of his company truck and crashed. According to DPS Troopers he was northbound on FM 1314 just south of Gulf Coast Road when his Ford F350 welding truck left the roadway in a curve. Due to the weight of the equipment attempting to correct would have been difficult. His vehicle skidded sideway across FM 1314 striking three trees. It is unclear yet as to if he was ejected or crawled out of the vehicle. They did say he was not wearing a seatbelt and in this case he would have most likely been crushed in the truck.
Hernandez was transported to Hermann Memorial Hospital by PHI Air Medical in critical condition.
FM 1314 was closed almost two hours as troopers investigated the accident and wreckers cleared the debris and loaded the truck.
It was reported that Hernandez has two sons in the military, one overseas right now and another who just left for boot camp.
DPS IS STILL UNCLEAR OF SOME OF THE CIRCUMSTANCES AND WOULD LIKE ANYONE WHO WITNESSED THIS ACCIDENT HAPPEN TO PLEASE CONTACT DPS IN CONROE AT 936-442-2831
