SPLENDORA, TX – On Friday, October 28, 2016 at around 6:00 AM, Splendora and Roman Forest Police Departments responded to an alarm at the Lansdowne-Moody tractor center in Splendora, Texas on US Hwy. 59. When they arrived on scene, they spotted four black males running from the gate; with the assistance of a Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constable, they were able to apprehend all four suspects quickly. The Patton Village PD and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office showed up shortly thereafter to assist in securing the scene.

The men were later identified as Edmond Harris, Emmanuel Mallard, Reginald Powers, and Elijah Russell from the Houston area. When the police began looking into their history, they discovered that Harris, Powers, and Russell had similar previous charges in Harris County.

Back in 1999, Harris was charged with burglary of a building as well as evading arrest and was convicted. Powers has been previously arrested for attempted burglary of a habitation, burglary of a vehicle, and organized criminal activity, but he was only charged for organized criminal activity. Russell has been arrested on two separate occasions for possession of marijuana, once in 2013 and again in 2015.

All four men have been charged with Organized Retail Theft > $20,000 < $100,000. Powers’ charge has been upgraded to a 2nd degree felony due to his previous charges.

As of now, the investigation is still ongoing.
