P-6 Farms is bursting with excitement in preparation for their first annual Fall Festival and Corn Maze. The Lone Star Corn Maize is an intricate network of twists and turns carved into 8 acres of corn.
“We actually planted it, cross planted it and once we developed our design, they did it through a computer-generated program. And from there, I’ll just have to leave it up to the aliens,” said P-6 Farms owner Carey Poole.
There are two pathways One pathway can be walked in about 20 minutes, but that’s only if you know where you’re going. Most people don’t. It will take the average person about an hour because they’re bound to get lost. If you do, don’t worry, the corn cops will come and help you. The other path is much shorter.
There are several thousand of these Maizes around the United States and now one has come to Montgomery. The maze will be up and running October 1 through November 27. Hours of operation are Fridays from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.Tickets are $8 for ages 4 to 11 and $10 for ages 12 to 64. It’s free for kids under the age of three.
In addition to the Maize P-6 offers a Country Store, hayrides, and several other games for the kids.
To get to P-6 Farms from Conroe travel West on SH 105. The farm is on your right 2.3 miles outside of town. Just watch for the signs.
