GIRL DECLARED A HERO AFTER FATAL BOAT CRASH

Montgomery County Precinct 1 Constables are calling the young 10-year-old girl whose boat was hit last night on Lake Conroe a hero. Just after the crash the killed her father and critically injured her mother. Two other males were thrown into the water when their boat flipped after the crash. The girl was able to call 911 and direct rescuers to the location of the crash off North Diamond Head. While talking to dispatchers multiple units from different agencies converged on the crash site. She then used the light on her cell phone to direct rescuers to them. Her mother and father were immediately taken to shore where medics waited. Her father identified as 39-year-old Jason Clark of Magnolia was pronounced dead on the scene. His wife, the girls mother remains in very critical condition this afternoon at Conroe Regional Trauma Center. The young girl was released last night with minor injuries. The two males in the other boat who were wearing life vests were uninjured. Texas Parks and Wildlife has taken lead on the crash. It still has not been determined whether the boat that was struck was in motion at the time according to officials. Additional information later tonight.
