On November 27th, 2016, Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to the 23300 block of Aldine Westfield Road in North Harris County in reference to an Aggravated Robbery. Responding deputies were advised that an unknown male had entered the Valero convenience store, selected various merchandise and proceeded to the sales counter with the merchandise. The male then went behind the sales counter, pulled a knife on the employee and demanded money.

After a thorough investigation into this robbery deputies were able to obtain an arrest warrant for Byron Rittenhouse. Deputies located Rittenhouse a few weeks later and after an in depth interrogation were able to positively identify Rittenhouse as the person who robbed the same location on December 15th, 2016, also at knife point. As a result of this investigation it was discovered Rittenhouse had previously been employed, for a very short time, at the same location he is presently charged with robbing.

“Byron Rittenhouse was booked into the Harris County jail and charged with 2 counts of Aggravated Robbery. Other robbery cases in the area remain open and under investigation. Should the investigation reveal Rittenhouse is linked to these robberies, additional charges will be filed. His bond was set at $30,000.00 per incident, $60,000.00 total out of the 178th District Court.” – Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman
