HARRIS COUNTY PCT. 4 CONSTABLE’S OFFICE HAS NEW LEADER

CONSTABLE MARK HERMAN

With Adrian Garcia running for Mayor of the City of Houston he was forced to step down. Last week Harris County Commissioners appointed long time Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Ron Hickman to the position of Sheriff of Harris County.

Since Ron Hickman became Sheriff some of his top administration went with him to the Sheriff’s Office. This included Assistant Chief Woody Mitchell,  Chief Sumner and several others.

Tuesday morning Harris County Commissioners voted unanimously in favor of Mark Herman. He was sworn in using his grandmother’s Bible by Judge Ed Emmett. Herman’s term will last until Dec. 31, 2016.

Herman has been with Precinct 4 for nearly 30 years, most recently serving as assistant chief deputy. His plan is to fill his vacant command staff slots from within the department.
