Conroe Police responded to a home in the 200 block of Oak just after midnight Saturday for a reported shooting. When they arrived they found a 57-year-old male shot once in the head. According to a witness a light skinned black male in his late teens or early twenties knocked at the door of the mobile home. When one of the residents answered it he was shot through the glass window with a hand gun.
The witness was transported by MCHD after he became distraught over the incident.
This is not the first time in the area. Sgt. Bob Berry, with the Conroe Police Department said last week someone approached the home across the street and knocked. As the woman answered the suspect shot through the door just missing her.
On March 11, 2006 Izora Veorris Bennett Sr. age 36 was shot at close range with a shotgun inside this same home. He was treated and released after several days at Ben Taub Hospital.
Charles Allen Fagan, age 30 of New Waverly was arrested two days after that incident.
The name of Saturday nights victim is not being released pending notification of next of kin.
