HOMICIDE IN MAGNOLIA

Just after 330pm a man who was at an auto parts in Harris County got a call from one of his sons telling him his son had been shot by his other son. The father called 911 but since he was in Harris County is routed to Harris County. Harris County then notified Montgomery who had units respond to the 27400 block of Aberdeen in Magnolia. Units arrived to find Oscar Salazar, 20, of that address shot. He was deceased. Five brothers lived at the location one of the brothers stated one of his brothers Nelson Segobia, 29,   who was Salazar’s half-brother came home and went to the bedroom. No arguing was heard but several shots rang out. Segobia then walked to the back door pointing a pistol at his brother (the witness) and told him to step aside. Segobia then exited the home and fled in a green Dodge pickup. MCSO Dispatchers broadcast an attempt to locate on Segobia. A short time later a DPS Trooper on FM 1488 located the truck as it pulled into an Exxon station. Segobia and his brother (the witness), who was in the truck were detained.  The Montgomery County Precinct 5 Justice of the Peace Matt Masden arrived on the scene and ordered Eickenhorst Funeral Directors to transport Salazar to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy. Assistant District Attorney Donna Berkey, responded to the scene to assist in the investigation.
