Sunday Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Division investigated a body found in the 4300 block of FM 1960 West at near Forest Branch in the Chartway Federal Credit Union parking lot. The victim was identified as 37-year-old Jason Maas. Maas was stabbed to death. Investigators immediately started looking for Thomas Henry Rolle as a suspect. Sunday night Rolle was spotted in a vehicle in North Houston. Harris County sent the information to HPD as a suspicious vehicle. The HPD unit that responded ended up getting in a pursuit with what was believed to be Rolle and lost him. Monday morning HPD went to do a welfare check on Rolle’s mother on Purple Meadow Lane in Kingwood. That is when Rolle ran out the back door. HPD along with Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office set a perimeter and started a search. Montgomery County K-9 units along with a HPD helicopter and HPD K-9 were involved in the search. They believe him to have gotten to the Green Belt. Several hours later area residents who saw the story on social media began calling law enforcement reporting a male fitting that description in the 1700 block of North Park near Russel Palmer. Montgomery County units responded and were able to take Rolle in without incident.
