HOUSTON POLICE REQUESTING PUBLICS HELP TO IDENTIFY SHOOTER

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 11000 Ella Boulevard about 7:25 p.m. last Friday (Feb. 14).

The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Dillingham and Officer V. McLean reported:

Officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found the male victim sitting in the driver’s seat of a vehicle, slumped over the steering wheel. The vehicle was idling and several windows were shattered. The male appeared to have been shot multiple times. Paramedics responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Witnesses told investigators they saw a dark colored sport utility vehicle following the victim’s vehicle and pull up along side of it at a stop sign. At that time, someone from the front passenger seat of the SUV fired shots at the victim’s vehicle.

The wanted vehicle is described as a dark blue Chevrolet Tahoe or Chevrolet Suburban with chrome rims and dark tinted windows. The vehicle may be known to travel in the Greenspoint area of the city.
