Sheriff Tommy Gage hosted his 10th campaign fundraiser Thursday at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds, with hundreds attending.
Sheriff Gage graduated from the Houston Police Academy in 1970. He remained with Houston working patrol, recruiting and motorcycles until joining Sheriff Joe Corley in 1982. Gage wore many hats during his time with Sheriff Corley including patrol, River Plantation contract deputy.
In 1996 he went to work the the Precinct 3 Constables Office where he became a Captain in 2001
Gage was then sworn in as the Montgomery County Sheriff in 2005.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is the 7th largest Sheriff’s Office in the state.
