Just before midnight Thursday a Montgomery County Precinct 4 Deputy Constable and his partner were in the parking lot at Valley Ranch and SH 99 when a 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle passed them at a high rate of speed. The unit pursued the motorcycle at speeds of up to 120 mph west on SH 99. The motorcycle exited FM 1314 almost crashing into the median at the intersection as the driver ran the red light. The chase continued north on FM 1314 where the driver turned off his lights. As the chase approached Porter Lane, still in excess of 100 mph the driver pulled into the center lane and slowed down. It was evident then the driver was having mechanical issues as he tried continuing to flee at a crawl. He finally coasted into the Shell station at Porter Lane where he was taken into custody. The driver, identified as Perry Leo Walker, 29, of 11690 Paddocks Road in Conroe was transported to the Montgomery County Jail where he is charged with evading arrest with a motor vehicle, a third-degree felony. His bond was set at $4500. It was determined the motorcycle had run out of gas. The driver also had a suspended drivers license.
