Tuesday night as Precinct 4 constables were assisting in Precinct 5 with the warrant round-up, Precinct 4 Lt. Mark Seals and Sgt. Rick Warwick observed a white truck in the woods in Hazy Hollow. The area was wooded, and they observed a white male identified as Kenneth Shane Thomas, 23, of 37803 Little Thorn what appeared to be dumping on the vacant lot in the 25000 block of Little Thorn.
As the deputies approached him he stated he was just sitting in the woods. Further investigation determined he had a load of tree limbs and a large can of construction debris in the bed of the truck. After further questioning he admitted he had cut a tree down at his grandmothers home and was also working on the floor of his home several blocks away. He further stated he was dumping the material and did not know who owned the land.
Thomas, who listed his occupation as, “Tree Removal Services” was arrested and charged with criminal trespass and Class B, Illegal Dumping over five pounds.
He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail with a $500 bond on the illegal dumping and a $750 bond on the Criminal Trespass.
