The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, The Texas Ranger’s and The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office is currently investigating the suicide that occurred at the Montgomery County Jail.
At approximately 4:00 pm Saturday, Johnny Isabel Valdez Jr. 31, who was incarcerated for a misdemeanor theft (M-A), was found hanging in his cell during a routine cell check. A Sheriff’s Deputy found Inmate Valdez hanging by a sheet that he had tied around his neck. After finding the inmate, first aid was administered by Sheriff’s Office Staff and he was transported to Conroe Regional hospital where he is in critical condition.
Inmate Valdez was removed from life support and pronounced deceased at approximately 1:00 pm Sunday at Conroe Regional Hospital.
