Interfere with Duties of Public Servant

On December 29, 2016, Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to the intersection of E. Carolina Green Drive and Orange Bloom Court in reference to an intoxicated male passed out on the side of the road. When the responding units arrived, they observed the male, identified as Troy Gately, laying on the edge of the roadway. The suspect woke up and began running from the deputies onto the 14700 block of E. Apricot Blush Court. Deputies were able to catch the suspect, who then began to physically resist arrest and ignored verbal commands. A deputy deployed his taser, striking the suspect in the upper chest area, allowing deputies to detain him without any further incident. EMS arrived and attended to the suspect from the taser deployment but he was not injured. The suspect was then placed into Harris County Jail for Interfering with a Public Servant.
