INTOXICATED HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR HITS PATROL CAR

Just after 7:30 p.m. Deputy Skero with the Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constables Office was on the side of Crockett-Martin Road just north of the railroad tracks issuing a motorist a citation for speeding.

As he looked up a Pontiac Grand Am approached at a high rate of speed and immediately after crossing the railroad tracks slammed into the rear of the patrol car.

The 20-year-old Woodlands High School student from Magnolia  was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

This weekend is a No Refusal weekend and since the driver refused a breathalyzer a warrant was issued for a mandatory blood draw.

The patrol unit which was hit in the right rear corner was still drivable.

The speed limit on Crockett-Martin is 40 mph in that area.
