Jefferson Chemical remains closed tonight. This after a tanker loaded with chemicals left a Conroe Plant headed for East Texas. The truck traveled down the narrow Jefferson Chemical. As he encountered a small jog in the road near Pin Oak the trailer wheels dropped off into the deep bar-ditch. The truck loaded with 45,000 pounds of product rolled over. Crews spent most of the afternoon pumping the product off the truck. The just after dark the heavy-duty wreckers moved in. Quick Tow, Jaws, and Texan Towing all worked together to right the truck on the narrow road. With very little room to work, they were also limited due to high power lines overhead. The driver was uninjured. The truck was righted just before 10 pm. Now Hazmat International is on the scene clearing some product which spilled along with diesel fuel. The driver was not injured. The road will remain closed most of the night.
