KEEP OUR FIREFIGHTERS IN YOUR PRAYERS

About 4:15 am Tuesday more than 40 firefighters from the Houston area, many from Montgomery County, and another 100 from around Texas will depart their stations for Hobby Airport and San Antonio International Airport. With a scheduled arrival at Hobby of 6 am they will depart on a Southwest Airlines Charter Flight donated by SW Airlines and crewed by SW Crews who volunteered their time to fly the firefighters to California. These crews will be relieving crews who have already been there for at least 3-weeks battling the wildfires which are consuming California. One of those fires is the Zogg fire near Sacramento. As of tonight close to 17,000 acres are burning on the fire that erupted yesterday. In one hour, the fire grew over 1000 acres. The National Weather Service Sacramento said there are extreme fire weather conditions in the area of the fire, which is burning in the area of Zogg Mine Road and Jenny Bird Lane, North of Igo near Redding. The National Weather Service said north winds are reaching speeds of up to 30-40 mph with relative humidity values of 5-10%. This is one of many fire burning. On this fire alone 3 people have died and over 140 structures have been destroyed.
