The release rate at the Livingston Dam has increased steadily this morning as Trinity River Authority officials work to lower the lake level. It is estimated that as much as 7 inches of rain fell over the lake this morning.
Current discharge rate is 68,200 cubic feet per second.
Residents living along the Trinity River should prepare for the possibility of road flooding, however, it is not anticipated that levels will reach high enough to get into the elevated structures located along the Trinity River given the current projections.
Officials will continue to monitor discharge rates and will update as warranted.
Anyone living along the Trinity River and folks with livestock located in the river flood plain are urged to pay close attention to conditions over the next several days. Monitor local news outlets for the latest information.
