The 4-Runner Simonen was driving struck the the back of the wrecker where Giant was loading the boat. The owner of the boat had his vehicle parked back from it aslo to act as a shield. Simonen hit the rear of the wrecker with the right side of the vehicle, the vehicle traveled up the bad which had been tilted back as Gian was loading. Simonen, hit giant and continued up the bed,his tire went across the windshield and broke the wrecker mirror off and then roll several times. Giant was pronounced dead on the scene. Simonen is charged with Intoxication Manslaughter in Judge McSpadden’s Court and is free on a $30,000 bond. This morning almost 50 wrecker friends gathered as they made a pass at the location Giant was killed. They then continued to Bryan for the funeral services Thursday afternoon.
