law enforcement officials searching for child predator

fortnerAfter a lengthy investigation, Detective J.J. Stitt with the Montgomery County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office and Prosecutor Jeff Hohl with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, announce several charges against John Charles Fortner. Fortner is charged with a total of five counts of Possession of Child Pornography, each count is a Third Degree Felony. A third degree felony count carries a punishment range of probation or 2-10 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine.

The charges allege that Fortner knowingly obtained and possessed multiple images and videos of child pornography with male and female victims ranging in age from 7-11 years old. The images and videos depict children and adults engaging in sex acts together. During the investigation and search of Fortner’s electronic devices, new information revealed that there may be unidentified victims of additional offenses. These devices include his computers and cellphone which contain statements regarding the possible abuse of local children.

Fortner was known to be staying at the following address in Conroe, Texas; 3300 N Loop 336 W Apartment 628 and driving a 2001 Dodge Dakota. In addition, the investigation has shown that Fortner has traveled significantly throughout the United States.
