LCSO ARREST TWO FOR POSSESSION OF COCAINE

On December 19, 2011, at approximately 8:00 a.m. the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call indicating a white pickup truck had crashed through a wooden fence and gate on F. M. 1008.  The caller also indicated the vehicle was occupied by two Hispanic males.  As the caller was giving the information to the 9-1-1 call taker, the vehicle crashed through the fence again and sped away at a high rate of speed, south on F.M. 1008.

Acting upon this information, Deputies from the LCSO began to search the F.M. 1008 area from Winter Valley south to Dayton.  The suspect vehicle was located off of Church St. in Dayton by Deputies.  Two suspects, who were found to also be in possession of Cocaine, were placed under arrest, facing the Felony charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident.  Additionally, both men are believed to not be in the United States legally and the proper Federal Authorities have been notified of this incident. At this time, neither suspects identity can be positively verified.

Neither suspect was injured as a result of this incident, however, the company truck which they were in did receive serious front end damage, even having wooden pieces of the fence still protruding from the front grill area of the truck.

The estimate of property damage for the Complainant in this case has been estimated at approximately $2,500.00.
