LCSO Dispatcher Receives Prestigious Award


The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce that after nomination for the very prestigious annual National Telecommunications Award that long time veteran dispatcher Lela Holley was selected by the Houston/Galveston Area Council ( HGAC) for that honor. Dispatch Supervisor Sherry Walton is quoted as saying this award is given to only one from many names submitted for the award and is based upon the persons hard work, dedication to duty, knowledge and calmness “under fire” in the field of Telecommunications that is the very life line from any law enforcement agency to the Deputies and/or Officers on the streets.

In addition to the award itself, Lela received a $50.00 Visa gift card and a letter of appreciation from HGAC for the attributes that she displays on a daily basis and on which the award is based. Sheriff Rader ask the public to join the Sheriff’s Office in congratulating Lela Holley for her outstanding work ethics and for receiving this highly sought after award.
