Just after 4:30pm Friday Liberty County Crime Suppression Unit converged on a dilapidated mobile home on CR 3731 just north of East River Road and just across the county line from Montgomery County. When deputies went to the door David Gentry answered it with a syringe in one hand and a spoon in the other. The residence had been the target of a meth lab investigation.
Gentry, whose hands had been burned a few days earlier by a flash fire was arrested on the scene. He is charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance. Cleveland EMS was dispatched to the scene to treat the minor burns
Inside deputies found precursors to the manufacture of meth including Nitrate Fertilizer. They also found several small packages of meth. Coleman stove fuel, funnels, coffee filters and other ingredients for the manufacture.
Outside the trailer was a burn pile with several burned lithium batteries and several empty packs of decongestant.
While searching the area around the home and in the woods eight separate cooking locations were discovered.
This has been the fourteenth lab dismantled since the inception of the Liberty County Crime Suppression Unit,
