Tuesday July 12th from 7 to 9 p.m. Faith Tabernacle in Tarkington will holding a two hour prayer vigil for the protection of our local law enforcement officers. My congregation and I are asking ALL law enforcement officers and support staff, on duty or off duty, to please come by the church during this prayer vigil and allow us to say a quick prayer of protection over you and your family. For your convenience, there will be a ministry team waiting outside the building for you during those two hours. You will be able to drive under our church awning and not even have to exit your vehicle. We will hand you a small prayer cloth and say a quick prayer and let you go on your way. The prayer cloth can be worn on your person or placed in your unit.
During this prayer vigil there will be people praying the entire two hours for you. Everyone is welcome to come and be a part of this and pray as long as you wish.
Faith Tabernacle is located on Hwy 321 on the corner of CR 2281. We hope to see you there!
Chaplain Ken Smith, Pastor of the Faith Tabernacle Church in Tarkington is one of six Chaplains who volunteer with the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office and the Family Assistance Unit to assist both Law Enforcement personnel as well as community families who may have a tragedy strike their lives and are in need of spiritual support. Chaplain Smith and his congregation have banded together just as several other organizations have done in Liberty County to show the POSITIVE support that Law Enforcement personnel has as opposed to the more negative news that seems to prevail at this time.
Sheriff Bobby Rader and all the personnel of the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office extends their deepest and most sincere appreciations to Chaplain Smith and his congregation for offering their prayers for all our county law enforcement personnel as well as all law enforcement Officers across our nation.
