A Liberty County jury has reached a guilty verdict in the case of Jared Cruse, 20 just before noon today.
He is one of the 20 accused of sexually assaulting an 11-year old girl from Cleveland in 2010.
Cruz is one of 20 males accused of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old Cleveland girl in the fall 2010. Cruz who is already serving an 8-year sentence for other charges including robbery showed no emotion when the verdict was read.
The punishment phase has just started and could last most of the afternoon. Cruz faces up to 99-years in prison.
Of the 20 accused one has gotten 99-years from a jury, six await trial and the others have pled guilty to sentences ranging from 8-15 years.
