Tuesday evening a Deputy Constable with Precinct 4 Rowdy Hayden’s Office was traveling on US 59 when he slowed for what he thought was another officer with a vehicle pulled over on the side of the road. The tan Chevrolet Silverado was displaying blue and white lights to front and rear and red and white lights under the front which were visible from the front. It was then he realized it was not a police unit at all. The deputy approached the driver, Timothy McDonald, 32, from Cleveland. McDonald had stopped behind a disabled motorist. He was arrested for an open warrant for a probation violation of a drug charge. EMC towed the vehicle. McDonald was booked into the Montgomery County Jail. Texas law prohibits red lights visible from the front of the vehicle.
