PRESS RELEASE FROM LIBERTY COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
The Visitation will be from 5p to 9p at Neal Funeral Home, located at 200 S. Washington Ave. in Cleveland.
The Funeral Service will be at Cornerstone Church located at 27453 F.M. 105. The Church sits on the North side of the roadway just outside the City Limits of Cleveland heading towards the City of Conroe.
There will be a Fire Engine precession from Neal’s, starting at approximately 1145am, with little Devon’s casket in the hose section of an antique City of Cleveland Fire Department Engine. Numerous Fire Departments from Liberty, Montgomery, San Jacinto and Polk Counties well be present and participate in this Service. Once at the Church, the Casket shall ceremoniously be placed inside the Church for the service. After the Service the casket shall ceremoniously be returned to the Fire Engine and transported back to Neal’s Funeral Home for one final fire truck ride.
Devon loved fire trucks, thus numerous area Fire Fighters are participating and providing this ride on a real fire truck for Devin. Numerous Law Enforcement Agencies will also be participating in this service, including the LCSO, MCSO, MCCO Pct. 4, Texas DPS and the Texas Rangers.
While Devon only has his Mom and Dad here as Family, all of the Fire/EMS/Law Enforcement and Texas Equisearch members who participated in the search/rescue/recovery efforts are going to be present for tomorrows service. Not only in respect for Devon, his Mom and Dad or as Emergency Service Providers, but as an extended family to lay to rest little Devon Davis who has indefinitely touched everyone’s heart here.
Thank you all for your support and respectful coverage of this heartbreaking event.
Rex Evans, Captain
Liberty County Sheriff’s Office
