location of party attended by intoxicated driver revealed

The District Attorney Vehicular Homicide Section responded to a fatal motor vehicle crash this morning at approximately 2AM. The responding personnel included Shanna Redwine, Tyler Dunman, and John Stephenson. In addition, Troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to begin the investigation including lead troopers Troy Phipps and Andrew Papanos.
The investigators determined that the involved driver is David Wiggins, 18 years old. He was transported to a local hospital where investigators interviewed him. It was determined that alcohol was involved in the crash and that Wiggins had left a party at the home of Diane Kinsey. There were three passengers in the car including the deceased.
The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses with information about the party or the crash are asked to contact DPS or the District Attorneys Office. Chief Vehicular Crimes Prosecutor, Warren Diepraam, warns that serving alcohol to a person under 21 is a crime and also may involve civil liability. This is the third fatal crash in this area of the county in the last few months where under age drinking resulted in fatal crashes.
