MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas, December 13, 2012 – Texas Litter Control will be
opening a high quality, low cost spay/neuter and vaccination clinic for dogs
and cats off of Interstate 45 just south of The Woodlands. TLC is a not for

number of unwanted pets entering into our shelters by providing affordable
“TLC hopes to use the clinic as a prototype to open additional clinics in
other underserviced areas around Harris and Montgomery counties,” explains
Deana Sellens, Executive Director & President of Texas Litter Control.
“We have big goals! Eventually we would like to mentor other groups to
opening clinics in other parts of Texas.”
TLC is partnering with Petroleum Wholesale to accomplish these aggressive
goals. Petroleum Wholesale is providing the land and construction for TLC
as a service to the community. The clinic will be located adjacent to
Petroleum Wholesale’s Texaco station at the Rayford/Sawdust exit on the
west side of Interstate 45. Petroleum Wholesale has been supporting the
rescue of dogs and other companion animals for nearly two decades.
The clinic is scheduled to open in late 2012. TLC will be able to perform
up to 25 spay/neuter surgeries per day. Customer service is a big focus for
the clinic so the clinic will be open some evenings and Saturdays. TLC will
be offering $10 vet exams, low cost vaccinations, heartworm prevention,
heartworm treatment, flea prevention, and wormers.
Eventually the clinic will be open 6, possibly 7 days a week for maximum
impact to the community. Watch for special sponsored days offering free or
further discounted services.
