Just after 8:00a.m. Tuesday morning Splendora Fire Department and MCHD were dispatched to a major accident at SH 10-5 and Fostoria Road. Dwayne Morrow with Precinct 4 Constables Office was enroute to assist Precinct 4 Deputy Don Smith on suspicious males under the bridge at 105 at the railroad tracks when the call was dispatched. He was within a mile of the scene and arrived first advising the dispatcher of a two vehicle accident with one female severely injured.
When MCHD arrived on the scene they determined that Cleveland High School Senior Elizabeth Saucedo, age 18 had severe enough facial injuries and undetermined additional injuries to dispatch Life Flight.
Cleveland Fire Department was dispatched to assist with the landing of the helicopter and SH 105 was closed in both directions.
According to Trooper Zandt a Ford Escort SE was westbound on SH105 and turned left onto Fostoria Road. The driver of that vehicle Justin Green of New Caney who was 24 years old today was injured and transported in stable condition to Conroe Regional Hospital.
Saucedo was reported by witnesses to be traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed actually causing the vehicles to go air borne for a moment..
