Montgomery County Precinct 1 Constables have been on the scene since about noon today in the Willis area after a tip led them to a major chop shop. As of now, 8 stolen trucks have been recovered, also the Mafia Cookers BBQ trailers that were stolen several weeks ago, The sad thing is that the trailers have had refrigerators, ice machines and other items taken off of it. We will be updating this story later tonight with a final count of stolen equipment. They have been 2 arrests. A search warrant was executed after a DPS helicopter confirmed for Precinct 1 Constables that the equipment indeed was on the property, some partially covered with tarps and deep in the woods. When deputies attempted to enter the home they were met with a very aggressive Pit Bull. Montgomery County Animal Control responded and had to attempt to contain the dog who was actively attempting to attack. Once contained deputies found a male and a female inside hiding in a closet. They have been transported to the Montgomery County Jail on multiple charges. In addition, a cache of weapons was recovered along with a gun safe. Animal Control also recovered several smaller dogs from the home. Montgomery County Precinct 1 Constable Phillip Cash said the vehicles recovered were from Houston, Montgomery County, Harris County, Humble and San Jacinto County. Montgomery County Precinct 1 Constables Office was assisted by the Montgomery County Auto Theft Task Force who did the recovery and arrests, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s and DPS Air units.
