Just before midnight MCHD responded to a reported auto bicycle accident on FM 1314 between Cumberland and Grand Parkway(SH99). They arrived on the scene and found a passenger car facing the wrong way on FM 1314 and a 16-year-old male who was quite distraught doing cpr on a male on the side of the road. Medics took over and transported the male to Memorial Hermann Woodlands in very critical condition. DPS spent several hours investigating. According to Troopers, after ruling out cell phone use or other distractions say the juvenile was on his way home northbound on FM 1314 when he fell asleep at the wheel. His vehicle left the right shoulder and struck a male riding a bicycle. The driver came to and turned around to see what he had hit. Seeing the male in the roadway he focused on him and did not see the already destroyed bicycle in the roadway and hit it. The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office Vehicular Crimes Unit responded to the scene. At this time the case is being referred to the Grand Jury without charges.
