On January 10, 2016 deputies with Harris County Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to an aggravated assault call in the 28500 block of E. Hardy Rd. Upon deputy’s arrival, the complainant reported that he and his family were on a dead end road taking pictures when a male drove up to them and began yelling at them to leave.
The male then grabbed a sword out of his vehicle and began threatening them with the sword. Then complainants attempted to leave but the male used his vehicle to block them from leaving. The male, who was still on location, was identified as Michael Anthony Van Fossen.
Van Fossen was arrested, charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and booked into the Harris County Hail. Van Fossen’s bail was set at $30000 out of the 339th District Court.
