March 8, 2011 Weekly Media Summary & “BLOTTER” Review

District 1 – Lt. Jim Fleming (North County)

A 25 year old male from Willis was arrested at 1:36am, February 28, in the 13300 block of Brigadier by Deputy S. Squier for a possession of marijuana warrant out of Montgomery County. After making contact with the male, an investigation ensued and 2.07 oz of marijuana was located at the residence. The male was charged with possession of marijuana along with the warrant and taken to jail.

On March 1, Deputy J. Kader stopped a vehicle on a traffic violation in the 600 block of E. Rogers Road. The male driver was found to be operating the motor vehicle with an invalid driver’s license and no proof of financial responsibility on the vehicle. The 34 year old male from Willis was arrested at 11:57am and charged with driving with license invalid and also three Willis PD traffic warrants. The male was transported to jail.

A 46 year old male from Houston was arrested at 3:41pm, March 1, in the 14400 block of Hwy 105 E by Deputy J. Kader for a theft by check warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputy was investigating a suspicious vehicle call. The male was a passenger in the vehicle. The male was transported to jail.

A 22 year old male from Willis was arrested at 2:24pm, March 1, in the 500 block of Young Street by Deputy A. Terrell for an assault family violence (choking) bond forfeiture failure to appear warrant out of Montgomery County. The male was on the top ten Crime Stoppers most wanted list. The male was taken to jail.

A 26 year old male and a 25 year old female, both from Houston, were arrested at 5:40pm, March 1, in the 11800 block of Rollingwood by Sgt. E. Ward and Secret Service agents, for forgery of government / financial instrument warrants out of Harris County. The male and female were transported to jail.

On March 2, Deputy K. Underwood stopped a vehicle on a traffic violation in the 16000 block of Hwy 105 E. The male driver was found to be operating the vehicle with an invalid driver’s license and no proof of financial responsibility on the vehicle. The 39 year old male from Houston was arrested at 12:31am and transported to jail.

On March 3, Sgt. J. Varnell responded to the 14000 block of Broken Arrow in reference to a family violence assault call. The Deputy met with a female complainant who advised she and her boyfriend got into an argument and he struck her on the face with a closed fist. The male had been removing items from the residence when the argument started. The male left the scene but was detained in the 800 block of Bellshire. The 23 year old male from Willis was arrested at 12:15am and transported to jail.

On March 3, Deputy K. Underwood stopped a vehicle on a traffic violation in the 3000 block of N. Walker Road. The male driver was found to be intoxicated. The 46 year old male from Cleveland was arrested at 3:31am, charged with DWI and taken to jail.

On March 3, Deputies K. Christiansen and S. Degner were dispatched to the 16300 block of FM 2090 for a disturbance in progress with shots fired. On arrival the Deputies met with a male complainant who advised he and another male had gotten into an argument. The suspect male had gone to his residence and retrieved a shotgun and admitted to the Deputies he had fired the weapon. The 47 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 10:51pm, charged with deadly conduct and was taken to jail.

On March 4, Deputies D. Pugh and K. Berger were notified of a narcotics offense taking place in the 13900 block of Tanning Lane. During the investigation the Deputies discovered two males at the location “cooking meth”. The two males, a 24 year old from Willis and a 30 year old from Conroe, were arrested at 1:58am, charged with possession of certain chemicals with intent to manufacture a controlled substance. Narcotics units were summoned to handle the lab and chemicals. A narcotics officer advised this was an active meth lab and all the chemicals were present for the process.

A 40 year old male from Porter was arrested at 5:35pm, March 4 in the 9800 block of Elders Road by Deputy J. Bourne for a blue warrant issued out of TDCJ. The Deputy received the male from a Game Warden who was detaining the male. The male was transported to jail.

On March 5, Deputy K. Underwood observed a male stumbling down the road in the area of County Line Road and Robin Lane. The Deputy checked the welfare of the male and found him to be intoxicated. The 40 year old male from Willis was arrested at 1:44am and taken to jail.

On March 5, Deputies D. Pugh and K. Berger stopped a vehicle on a traffic violation in the area of Hwy 105 E and Waukegan Road. The male driver was found to be intoxicated. The 39 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 2:00am, charged with DWI and transported to jail.

A 28 year old male from Willis was arrested at 3:50pm, March 5, in the 12600 block of Lazy Cove by Sgt. E. Ward for a motion to revoke probation warrant out of Montgomery County. The original charge was driving while intoxicated. The Deputy had received information on the location of the male. The male was taken to jail.

On March 5, Deputy K. Albritton stopped a vehicle on a traffic violation in the area of FM 1484 and Airport Road. The male driver was found to be operating the vehicle with an invalid driver’s license. The male had previous arrests for the same violation. A 30 year old male passenger, also from Conroe, was found to have a failure to appear civil child support warrant out of Montgomery County out on him. Both males were transported to jail.

District 2 – Lt. Brady Fitzgerald (South County)

On February 28, 2011, Deputy Zavorski arrested a 29-year-old male from Montgomery, after a traffic stop on the southbound feeder road of Interstate 45. During the course of the traffic stop, Deputy Zavorski found the driver to have 5 grams of marijuana in his possession. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident. The suspect also received a citation for the initial traffic stop.

On February 28, 2011, Deputy Jobe was dispatched to a residence on Canyon cross for a Family Violence call in progress. Upon arrival, he met with the complainant who stated that the suspect had struck her several times in the face when she tried to stop him from screaming at her mother. The suspect, 52-year-old male from Conroe, was arrested and charged with Assault Family Violence, then transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On March 3, 2011, Sr. Sgt. Russell arrested a 37-year-old male from Houston, after a traffic stop. The suspect was found to have nine active suspensions on his license and no insurance for the vehicle he was driving. The suspect was arrested for Drive While License Invalid and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On March 3, 2011, Deputy Fruge responded to the McDonald’s at 25222 IH-45 in reference to an Assault Family Violence. Upon arrival, Deputy Fruge met with the complainant and the suspect, 43-year-old male from Houston. The two had met at McDonald’s to discuss a family matter when the suspect started yelling at the complainant. When the complainant attempted to leave the suspect grabbed her by the arm. When the complainant tried to pull away, the suspect slapped her, causing her head to strike the wall. The suspect was taken into custody for Assault Family Violence and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

District 3 – Lt. Darrel Conn (East County)

On 2/24/11 around 0130 hours Sgt. Wienke was dispatched to a fight in progress at Bull Sallas Park. As information was relayed to responding Deputies several vehicles were stopped in the 22400 block of McCleskey Rd. leaving the park. During the melee several injuries were reported and a total of 5 people were arrested and charged with Class "A" Assault as a result of the incident.

On 2/27/11 after receiving information on a wanted Felon Deputy Pickerill responded to the 23500 block of FM 1314 where contact was made with the wanted subject at his place of employment. The individual was arrested without incident.

On 2/28/11 Deputy B. Dunn responded to a Welfare Check at the Food Fair in the 20800 block of FM 1485. Upon arrival Dunn observed a female slumped over the driver’s side of the vehicle. After waking the female up she appeared very nervous and worried about Dunn’s presence. While talking to the female several small clear bags containing a crystal like substance were observed lying on the center console of the vehicle. The female was detained and the substance tested positive for Methamphetamine. Upon further inventory of the vehicle a large black box was located and it contained a large bag of the same substance along with a large bag of pills. The female was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver.

On 2/28/11 Deputy Morris was dispatched to the 22800 block of Cumbre Drive in reference to a Burglary. A witness observed a male and female break into a house, steal numerous items and put them in a trashcan to drag away from the scene. Upon arrival Deputies observed the male still in the process of dragging the trashcan from the residence. Inside the trashcan Morris observed numerous different power tools that were identified by the homeowner. Other items taken were found on the side of the house in a wheelbarrow. Both subject were arrested and charged with Burglary of a Habitation.

On 3/1/11 Deputy Logan responded to a Family Violence in Progress on Davis Road. It was learned an argument between a 21 year old female and her mother over scrap metal turned physical with the 21 year old throwing a wooden chair at her mother. The 21 year old then punched her mother in the head with closed fists. The 21 year old female was arrested for Assault/Family violence and transported to jail without further incident.

On 3/2/11 Deputy Logan observed a suspicious vehicle on McCleskey Road. A warrant check on the driver revealed an outstanding warrant for Assault. The warrant was confirmed and the male was transported to jail.

On 3/2/11 Deputy Azwell was dispatched to the Mission Northeast on Loop 494 where a male was urinating beside the building. Upon arrival the male discarded a plastic wrapper containing several pills. The pills were later identified as Lorcet and Soma. The male was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Dangerous Drug. The male was found to have an active Felony warrant through the Pardon and Parole board for an original charge of Aggravated Robbery. The male was arrested and transported to East county jail for booking.

On 3/3/11 Deputies T. Smith and B. Dunn were dispatched to Wells Road in reference to a Disturbance. Upon arrival a female stated she was assaulted but she did not want to file charges on the person that assaulted her. Upon checking the female for warrants it was learned the female had an active Felony warrant for Burglary of a Habitation that had been active since 2001. The warrant was confirmed and she was transported to jail in Conroe by Deputy Smith. A male also on location showed to have 5 outstanding warrants. He was transported to East County jail upon warrant confirmation.

District 4 – Lt. David Park (West County)

On March 5th Deputy Overbay while patrolling the Turtle Creek neighborhood observed a green truck with expired registration and inspection. Deputy Overbay conducted a traffic stop and spoke with the 37 year old male driver. Dispatch advised the Deputy the subject had three active warrants for Driving without a Driver’s License, Following too Closely and Failure to Appear. Deputy Overbay placed the subject into custody and Deputy LaSalle transported him to the South County Jail.

On March 5th Deputy Mittag was dispatched to Old Hockley Road in reference to a Disturbance. Upon arrival Deputy Mittag was met by the Complainant who advised when she had arrived home, she found both of the doors to her residence were locked. When she knocked on the door she was met by her roommate, an 18 year old female at which time the two begin to argue and the Complainant was pushed down the steps. The female subject was taken into custody for Assault Family Violence and transported to Montgomery County Jail. The Complainant was transported to Tomball Emergency for minor injuries.

On March 4th Deputy Provenzano was dispatched to Veterans Road in Magnolia in reference to a Family Violence. A 21 year old male subject who resides at the residence was asked by the homeowners to pack his things because they were going to start the eviction process. The subject became angry and started yelling and cussing, punching holes in the wall and trying to fight. The subject then pushed the female homeowner. Deputy Provenzano placed him into custody for Assault Family Violence and transported him to the Montgomery County Jail.

On March 4th Deputy Overbay was dispatched to the Shady Oaks Estates subdivision in reference to a Family Violence Call – Injury to the Elderly. Upon arrival Deputy Overbay met with the 67 year old Complainant who advised his granddaughter had skipped school the past Wednesday and had been expelled on Thursday. The Complainant stated she had started cursing at him and attacked him and bit him as well. The Juvenile was placed into custody for Injury to the Elderly and transported to Juvenile Detention.

On March 3rd, Deputy Crandell while conducting a traffic enforcement stop in the SH 249 area and Hardin Store Road ran the plate of a 2005 black Chevrolet Cavalier for an expired Registration. The 29 year old female driver was also run and the Deputy was advised by Dispatch she had an Active Warrant for Theft by Check. The female subject was taken in to custody and transported to female booking in Conroe.

On March 1st Deputy Overbay was dispatched to the 37000 block of Fawn Lane in reference to a Warrant Service for Failure to Identify and Evading Arrest/Detention on a 47 year old female subject. Upon arrival Deputy Overbay made contact with the female subject and confirmed her warrant. The subject was transported to the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe.

District 5 – Lt. Gary Welch (Northwest County)

On 03/02/11 at approx. 1822 hours Deputy J. Davis was dispatched to Rabon Chapel Rd. in reference to a family violence call. Upon completion of the investigation a juvenile male was placed into custody for assault for attacking his mother.

On 03/04/11 at approx. 0039 hours Deputy D. Garner was dispatched to a Welfare Concern in the 100 blk. of FM 1486. Deputy Garner arrived in the area and Sergeant C. Peckne was already on location with the individual. Upon the completion of the investigation, it was determined that the subject would be placed into custody for suspicion of Driving While Intoxicated. The subject was transported to MCSO jail without incident.

On 03/06/11 at approx. 1009 hours Sergeant S. Spiller was dispatched to a home on Forest Dr. in reference to a disturbance in progress call. Sergeant Spiller arrived on location with Deputy P. Rex. Sergeant Spiller approached the residence and could hear yelling and banging coming from inside the residence. Upon conclusion of the investigation, the male was placed into custody for assaulting his girlfriend and transported to MCSO jail without incident.

On 03/06/11 at approx. 2352 hours Deputy J. Fluellen conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 12800 blk. of Walden Rd. It was determined that the subject’s driver’s license was under suspension and the male did not have valid insurance. The male was placed into custody for Driving While License Invalid and transported to MCSO jail.

On 03/08/11 at approx. 0038 hours Deputy J. Fluellen observed a vehicle in the 18700 blk. of N. Charmed Circle that appeared to have been involved in a Motor Vehicle Accident. Deputy Fluellen made contact with the driver and after completing the investigation, it was determined that the driver would be placed into custody for Driving While Intoxicated. Upon inventorying the vehicle incident to arrest, Deputy Fluellen found three Xanex in the compartment of the driver side door. The male was also charged with Possession of Controlled Substance.

District 6 – Lt. David Dottei (Woodlands)

On March 1, 2011, Sr. Sgt. Herring was working traffic enforcement on Maple Branch when he conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle with an expired inspection certificate. As he approached the vehicle, a strong odor of burnt marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. During his interview of the driver 20-year-old female from The Woodlands and her passengers, 19-year-old male from The Woodlands and 21-year-old male from Spring, it was found that all three had various amounts of marijuana throughout the vehicle. All suspects were taken into custody, and transported to the Montgomery County Jail charged with Possession of Marijuana. Two of the suspects were also charged with Possession of Narcotics Paraphernalia.

On March 2, 2011, Deputy Prince and Deputy Hollan received information that a subject with an outstanding warrant was at a location on Plum Blossom Place. Upon arrival, they were informed that the suspect 21-year-old female from The Woodlands, had run out the back of the residence and jumping several fences evading the deputies. Deputy Prince returned to the residence a few hours later and the suspect was located in an upstairs bedroom closet. The suspect was wanted on a Theft Warrant out of Dallas County. She was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail. Additional charges for Evading were added due to her running from deputies earlier in the evening.

On March 6, 2011, Deputy Underwood was dispatched to a Disturbance in Progress call on W. Settler’s Way. Upon arrival, he found two people arguing in the front yard. During the course of the investigation the suspect, 21-year-old male from The Woodlands, was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest. It was also found that the suspect was in possession of .3 grams of marijuana. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail and booked on both the warrant and Possession of Marijuana charges.

The following Shoplifting Arrests were reported:

2/28 – Deputy Neal arrested a 20-year-old female from Sugarland for Theft at 3040 College Park Drive. The suspect attempted to take $140.25 from Wal-Mart. The suspect selected several items throughout the store and concealed them in a Wal-Mart bag and then went to customer service and conducted a fraudulent return of the items. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

2/25 – Deputy Ansley arrested an 18-year old male from Huntsville for Theft at 1201 Lake Woodlands. The suspect attempted to take $190.00 worth of merchandise from Macy’s. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
