This morning an article was published online that purports that Montgomery County Judge Mark Keough declared martial law in Montgomery County. Although published as an April fool’s joke, it is dishonest and threatening to the well-being of the people of Montgomery County.
THERE IS NO MARTIAL LAW.
The current stay at home order still allows our citizens to freely conduct essential business as defined by the Governor’s order from yesterday afternoon. It also allows for essential activities that are also defined by the order. Please ignore this article or anything associated with it. Any order addressing our county will come from either the President, the Governor, or myself.
Once again while it may have been intended in humor it is dishonest and dangerous language in our present public health crisis.
