SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — A Montgomery County fugitive is in custody in Scottsdale, Arizona, a suburb of Phoenix.
Thursday night, Scottsdale Police received information 30-year-old Cody Lang was at an area motel. They went to the location and tried to make contact, but Lang fled in an RV and was nowhere to be found. After fleeing from the motel, he reportedly crashed the RV into a car, then climbed out and fled the scene on foot.
Around 10:45 Friday morning, Scottsdale Police caught up with Lang and placed him under arrest. He was a passenger in another vehicle and was wearing a wig to alter his appearance. He had an injured arm for which he received treatment following his arrest.
His lengthy criminal history in Texas includes everything from Assault to Theft of Property From Grave/Human Corpse.
Lang was wanted locally for multiple felony warrants connected to theft and fraud. He is expected to be extradited soon.
