District 5 – Lt. Gary Welch (Northwest County)

November 28th Sgt. Suarez responded to a business on Marina Dr. in regards to a Disturbance and deputies learned that a male had been causing a disturbance. While conducting the investigation, deputies determined that the male was intoxicated and in possession of a controlled substance. During the investigation the suspect assaulted a deputy. The suspect was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Assault on a Peace Officer, Public Intoxication.

November 30th Deputy Farmer was dispatched to Walden Rd. in an attempt to locate a reckless driver. Deputies located the vehicle and conducted a Traffic Stop. Upon making contact with the female driver, deputies determined that the driver was intoxicated. The female driver arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.

December 1st Deputy Wroten was dispatched to a Suspicious Person in the 13500 block of Walden Rd. Deputies located the male walking in the middle of the road and during their investigation, deputies learned that the male was intoxicated and had an outstanding warrant. The male was arrested for Public Intoxication and the Warrant.

December 2nd Deputy Macias responded to a residence on Eastchase Lane in regards to an Assault. Deputies learned that a female had been assaulted and had the phone taken from her while calling for 9-1-1 for assistance. The male was arrested and placed in jail for Assault and Interference with an Emergency Telephone Call.

December 2nd Deputy Treille responded to a parking lot in the 18400 block of SH 105W in regards to a Hit and Run. Deputies learned that a driver backed into a female pedestrian and then fled the scene. Deputies located the male suspect at a residence in April Sound. The suspect was taken into custody after a brief altercation with deputies. The suspect was arrested for Failure to Stop and Render Aid, Intoxication Assault, Possession of Marijuana and Resisting Arrest.
