District 1 – Lt. Jim Fleming (North County)

On October 26, Deputy J. Halbert was called to assist Pct. 4 Constable Deputy Bergland on a traffic stop in the area of FM 3083 and S. Loop 336. Constable Deputy Bergland had stopped the vehicle on a traffic violation and obtained consent to search the vehicle. The vehicle was occupied by a male driver and female passenger. As the vehicle was searched Constable Deputy Bergland found a red plastic container and gave it to Deputy Halbert who looked through it and located drug paraphernalia, a digital scale and three clear plastic baggies containing a white crystalline substance which tested positive for methamphetamine. Two other plastic baggies of methamphetamine were located in the female’s purse. Both the male, age 34, and female, age 26, from Conroe, were arrested at 2:13am, by Deputy Halbert, charged with possession of a controlled substance and transported to jail.

On October 26, Deputy A. Cross was sent to the 18600 block of Old Hwy 105 East in reference to a theft of an ATV. The Deputy met with a male complainant who advised he had been driving home and noticed a four wheeler being towed by a pickup truck. The complainant thought the four-wheeler belonged to him and went home and found that his four-wheeler was indeed missing. The complainant said he found out the four-wheeler was towed across Hwy 105 and the suspect(s) had turned down Security Cemetery Road. The complainant located his four wheeler stored in a building in the 18600 block of Old Hwy 105 East. The Deputy met with a male suspect at the storage building location and he was detained. The 52 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 3:41pm and transported to jail.

On October 29, Deputy J. Lawless received a tip concerning a wanted felon in the 600 block of Young. The Deputy located the 20 year old female from Conroe and arrested her for an aggravated assault warrant out of Montgomery County. She was transported to jail.
A 22 year old male from Willis was arrested at 12:25am, October 29, in the area of FM 1097 and I-45 by Deputy J. Hodges for a failure to appear traffic warrant out of Willis PD. The Deputy had conducted a traffic stop on the male. The male was transported to jail.

On October 29, Deputy S. Degner was assisting DPS at an accident scene in the area of SH 242 and Stone Hedge. The Trooper working the accident scene radioed to Deputy Degner that a male driving recklessly in a black pickup truck was headed in the Deputy’s direction. The Deputy observed the pickup truck with his flashers on and saw the driver pull over just west of the accident scene. A wrecker driver, not involved at the scene, pulled over and he and the other male from the pickup truck exited their vehicles at the same time. The male wrecker driver told the other male that the male had almost hit his wrecker. At this time the suspect male hit the wrecker driver on the face with his fist. The Deputy witnessed this and detained the suspect male. Another witness advised the suspect male was driving recklessly, passing on the shoulder, passing in a no passing zone and driving into oncoming traffic. The 57 year old male from Montgomery was arrested at 6:10pm and transported to jail.
A 39 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 6:30pm, October 31, in the 17600 block of Holly Glen by Deputy K. Albritton for a theft warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputy was investigating a family disturbance call. The male was transported to jail.

On October 31, Deputy J. Bourne was sent to the Conroe Emergency room in reference to an assault. The Deputy was investigating a female that had assaulted a 12 year old male by hitting him with her fists knocking him to the ground. He received minor injuries. The female was intoxicated and was angry that family and friends were late for dinner due to trick or treating. The 42 year old female from Tyler was released from the hospital and was arrested at 10:08pm, charged with endangering a child and transported to jail.

On November 1, Sgt. C. Rogers was dispatched to a noise disturbance in the 12800 block of Crystal Trail. As the Deputy arrived and after having the resident turn the music down a person flagged the Deputy down and advised that they saw a vehicle leaving the party and strike another vehicle. After speaking with the vehicle’s owner the Deputy heard two gun shots. The Deputy then heard a vehicle accelerating and approaching the Deputy’s location. The Deputy was able to stop the vehicle and observed three individuals occupying it. The Deputy noticed the back seat passenger moving around nervously. The Deputy had the male from the back seat exit the vehicle and as he was getting out a snub nose .38 caliber revolver fell to the ground from the male’s pocket. The male was detained. The suspect male advised he shot the gun into the air to “liven up the party”. The Deputy checked the weapon and found the serial numbers had been gouged and unreadable. The 17 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 12:36am, charged with unlawful carrying of a firearm and tampering with identification numbers. He was transported to jail.

On November 1, Deputy J. Hodges was notified of a family violence assault call in the 15300 block of Crowley Road. The Deputy met with a female complainant who stated she and her husband got into an argument. The male and the son had gotten into an argument over the son downloading something on the computer. The father broke the monitor and accused his son of lying. The male then grabbed the complainant by the shirt collar and twisted it causing her to choke. The male had been drinking. The 46 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 8:46pm and transported to jail.

District 2 – Lt. Andrew Eason (South County/Woodlands)

On October 15, 2009, Dep. Gordy responded to 32914 Tamina Road in reference to a Theft past report. The complainant stated that his generator had been taken from his business. A neighbor reported seeing the suspect load the generator on a truck and leave and reported such to dispatch. The suspect, White Male 18 yrs old, was later identified as an employee of the business. The investigation showed that he had traded the generator for an ATV. The person whom he traded with was notified and the generator was returned. The suspect was taken into custody and charged with State Jail Felony Theft and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On October 21, 2009, Dep. Christensen was dispatched to the Fuller Bluff area in reference to a criminal mischief complaint. Witnesses reported a white truck with three white males in it were throwing pumpkins at vehicles. One vehicle had a damaged windshield. While on scene, dispatch received another call from a witness on IH45 North of a white truck throwing pumpkins on the freeway. An attempt to located was aired and the vehicle was stopped on Alden Woods Drive. The suspects, 2 white males 22 yrs old and white male 20, were taken into custody for Criminal Mischief and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On October 22, 2009, Dep. Wright and Dep. Uber responded to a Failure to Stop and Give Information call. They went en route to the location where Sgt. Jenkins had the suspect vehicle stopped on Cochran’s Crossing. While on scene they noticed the driver to have slurred speech and a distinct smell of alcohol coming from his breath. During the Field Sobriety Tests, the driver was too intoxicated to follow the instructions and perform the tests correctly. During the course of the investigation, Deputies also found .19 oz of marijuana. The suspect was taken into custody for Possession of Marijuana, Driving While Intoxicated and Accident Involving Damage to a Vehicle. The suspect White Male 23 yrs old, was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On October 24, 2009, Dep. Koonce initiated a traffic stop of a vehicle on Brookhaven Drive. The driver did not have a driver’s license or insurance. During the course of the investigation, property was found in the vehicle that dispatch confirmed was listed as stolen. The driver White Male 17 yrs old, was transported to the Montgomery County Jail charged with Possession of Stolen Property.

District 3 – Lt. Darrel Conn (East County)

On 10/30/09 Deputy Armstrong was dispatched to an attempt to locate call in reference to an intoxicated driver in the 21000 block of Walker Rd. Upon his arrival he met with a witness that observed the driver almost strike several vehicles. The Deputy was able to make contact with the driver and he was given a series of field sobriety tasks. The driver was determined to be intoxicated on an unknown substance and was taken to the hospital for a blood draw. The driver, a 47 year old male was arrested and charged with DWI.

On 11/2/09 Deputy Guion was dispatched to the 19000 block of Sara Deann Ln. in reference to a disturbance with weapons call. Upon his arrival he met with with a complainant and witnesses and learned the suspect had came after the complainant with a knife and threatened to cut his throat. The suspect, a 28 year old male was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a second degree felony. The suspect was also charged with violation of a protective order that was already in place from a previous case.

On 11/3/09 Deputy Pickerill was dispatched to the 21000 block of Morris St. in reference to a disturbance in progress. Upon his arrival he learned that the husband had assaulted his wife by pushing her down. She attempted to call 911 and he took the phone away and threw it across the room. The husband, a 47 year old male was arrested and charged with Assault Family Violence and Interference with an Emergency Phone Call.

On 11/4/09 Deputy Trammel was dispatched to the 14000 block of Jim Stowe Rd. in reference to an Indecency with a Child call. During the investigation he learned that the suspect had committed the offense of Indecency with a child which was 9 years old. The suspect, a 27 year old male was arrested and charged with Indecency with a Child, a second degree felony.

District 4 – Lt. David Park (West County)

On October 25th at approximately 11:46 am Deputy Birch was dispatched to the Clear Creek subdivision in reference to an Assault. Upon arrival the Deputy was met by the Complainant who advised that on this morning she and her husband had argued over a necklace that belonged to his mother. The Complainant advised that her husband got angry and pushed her with open hands causing her to fall onto the bathroom counter. Deputy Birch observed scratches, black and blue bruises on the Complainant. The Complainant was transported to Tomball Hospital. The Complainant’s husband was arrested for Assault Family Violence and transported to the MCSO Jail in Conroe.

On October 22nd at approximately 6:25 pm Deputy Crandell was dispatched to the 23000 Block of Nichol Sawmill Road in reference to a Disturbance. The reportee on scene advised that the female subject was intoxicated and trying to pick fights with the local residents. Deputy Crandell checked the suspects for warrants and was advised by dispatch that the subject had several warrants. The warrants were confirmed and subject was arrested and transported to the MCSO Jail in Conroe.

On October 20th at approximately 6:37 pm Deputy Herman was dispatched to the 24000 Block of Weeren Road for a Welfare Check. While en route to that address the Deputy was notified by Dispatch that the resident there had an open Warrant for Parole Violation. Upon arrival at approximately 6:46 pm the Deputy met with the subject and placed him into custody. The warrant was confirmed and the subject was transported to the MCSO jail in Conroe without incident.

On October 19th while on patrol, Corporal Sumrall recognized a female driving a white Silverado. The subject had been handled by the police many times and was known to have a warrant for her arrest. The subject was indentified and confirmed by her DL number. Corporal Sumrall placed her into custody and made the arrest. The subject was them transported to the MCSO jail in Conroe without incident.

On October 18th at approximately 2:48 pm Deputy Williams was dispatched to a residence on SH 249 in reference to a Family Violence in Progress. Upon his arrival the Deputy was met by the Complainant who advised that she and her husband (suspect) had gotten into a verbal altercation around 4:00 am that morning. The Complainant further stated that the suspect struck her in the right eye. At approximately 2:00 pm the same day the Complainant and the suspect again begin arguing. The Complainant left her residence and went to a neighbor’s house. The suspect followed her and grabbed her by the hair trying to remove her from her neighbor’s house. The Deputy placed the suspect into custody and transported to the County Jail for processing. A Protective Order was filed for the Complainant.

On October 17th at approximately 1:22 am Deputy Carpenter was on the phone with a female who was reporting her boyfriend was chasing her in a black Chevy Pick-up truck on FM 1774. At approximately 1:28 am Deputy Carpenter observed a black Chevy Pick-up passing in the center lane on FM 1774 at a high rate of speed. The Deputy turned around and activated his emergency lights and attempted to catch up to the vehicle. After activating his siren the vehicle still failed to pull over. Deputy Carpenter called dispatch at this time and notified them that the vehicle would not yield. The vehicle continued northbound into the City of Magnolia turning on Commerce and Sanders then South on FM1774. The vehicle was reaching speeds in excess of 90 miles per hour. After passing High Meadow Ranch the vehicle turned on Batltzell and circled around back to FM 1774 nearly missing Deputy Zavorski who was in a marked patrol car with his lights and siren activated trying to block his escape. Now traveling northbound on FM1774 the vehicle drove back to Magnolia where Magnolia PD had set up a spike strip. After the vehicle ran over the spike strip it continued to Sanders and turning west then north on Commerce coming to a stop. The driver was placed in custody for Evading Arrest or Detention with a Motor Vehicle. After being placed in custody the driver was identified and found to have a warrant out of Michigan for a parole violation. He was transported to the MCSO Jail in Conroe by Deputy Zavorski.

On October 15th at approximately 10:01 pm Deputy Zavorski was dispatched to the 500 Block of Goodson Road in reference to a disturbance in progress. The Complainant advised that there was a very intoxicated female on locating. Upon the Deputy’s arrival at about 10:22 pm he detained the female. Corporal Wienke began searching the female. The female became very combative and had to be restrained with leg shackles to prevent her from kicking the Deputies. Deputy Zavorski transported the female to Montgomery County Jail.

On October 27th at approximately 2:36 am Deputy Hollan responded to a dispatched call in the Decker Oaks Subdivision in reference to an Aggravated Assault. Upon arrival Deputy Hollan met with the Complainant who advised that around 12:50 am he was awaken by the continuous ringing of his doorbell. When he opened his door he observed two male subjects that he recognized wearing dark colored “hoodies.” One of the subjects forced his way into the residence. The other male subject pulled a handgun out of his waistband and pointed it at him. The complainant was able to get the door shut and locked. After waiting for a few seconds the Complainant he went outside and observed the two subjects fleeing in a Gray or Silver newer model sedan. The case has been referred to CID.

On October 26th at approximately 10:25 am Deputy Krolczyk and Corporal Bybee were dispatched to the 41000 Block of Shady Oaks in reference to a family violence in progress. Upon arrival the Deputy and Corporal were met by the two Complainants. Although making different statements as to what happen they both agreed that the female had shot her gun at the male, missing him. As the male Complainant reached down to pick up a box of his belongings the female struck his over the head with the gun causing a large laceration to the males head. The female was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Family Violence a 2ND Degree Felony.

On October 26th at approximately 7:48 pm Deputy LaSalle was dispatched to a possible indecent exposure at the intersection of Butera Road and Walnut Creek Road. Upon arrival Deputy LaSalle made contact with the suspect walking along Walnut Creek Road heading towards Stagecoach. The suspect’s speech was rambling. The suspect was having difficulty maintaining her balance. Deputy LaSalle placed her into custody for Public Intoxication and transported her to jail.

On October 26th at approximately 2:36 pm Deputy Crandell was dispatched to the Lake Windcrest subdivision in reference to a Burglary of a Building. Deputy Crandell met with the Complainant at the residence. The Complainant advised that the residence had been secured on October 24th and sometime during this day had been burglarized. There had been $786 in damage done to the doors and $1414 worth of materials taken from the residence. This case has been referred to CID.

On October 23rd at approximately 4:50 am Deputy Crandell was dispatched to the Decker Hills Subdivision in reference to Burglary of a Vehicle. Deputy Crandell was met by the Complainant who advised that she discovered her rear passenger side window had been broken out and the Alpine CD Player stolen from the interior of her truck. The CD player is valued at about $200 and damage to the Complainant’s truck valued at $100. This case is currently open and being investigated.

On October 22nd Sgt Russell performed a traffic stop for a vehicle speeding. The Driver was identified and checked for warrants. Active Warrants were located and confirmed. The Driver was arrested and transported to the MCSO Jail in Conroe.

On October 21st at approximately 12:15 pm Deputy Kerr was dispatched to the 28000 Block of Champions in reference to a Theft report. Upon arrival Deputy Kerr met with the Complainant who stated that sometime between October 20th 5:00 pm and October 21st 11:00 am someone had entered the construction site and stole 200 ft of 4/0 Copper Wire from inside the attic. The Complainant stated that there was no sign of forced entry and that several contractors and workers had been in and out of the house at different times of day and night. This case has been referred to CID.
District 5 – Lt. Don Lacy (Northwest County)

October 27, 2009 at 2:40 PM Deputy Favorat responded to the 1500 block of Shady Glen for the report of a Criminal Mischief. The Complainant reported that his boat which had been parked on his property had been intentionally damaged with an estimated cost of repair to be in excess of $1800. This case is currently under investigation by Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division.

October 29, 2009 at 4:06 PM Deputy Jackson responded to Lakeside Dr. for the report of an Assault. Investigation revealed where the female Complainant had been physically assaulted by her husband during an argument. The Suspect had left prior to the deputy’s arrival. The case is under investigation.

October 29, 2009 at 5:51 PM Deputy Durbin responded to Forest Hills Dr. for the report of an Assault. Investigation revealed where the female Complainant had been physically assaulted by her husband during an argument in their home. Although the Complainant suffered a laceration during the assault emergency medical attention was not required. The Suspect was not on location at the time of report therefore this case will be referred to the District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.

October 30, 2009 at 9:03 AM Deputy R. Thompson responded to the 17900 block of FM 149 N. for the report of a Burglary of a Building. The Complainant reported that someone had forced their way into his barn and stole a riding lawn mower valued in excess of $400. This case is currently under investigation by Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division.

October 30, 2009 at 4:10 PM Deputy Lennon responded to Raintree Lane for the report of an Assault. Investigation revealed where the female Complainant was physically assaulted by her adult daughter during an argument. There were no injuries sustained during the altercation. The suspect was arrested for Assault Class C Misdemeanor and placed in the Montgomery County Jail on an undetermined bond.

District 6 – Lt. David Dottei (Town Center)

The following Shoplifting arrest(s) were made at 1100 Lake Woodlands Drive:

10/17/2009 – White Female 44 yrs old and White Male 30 yrs old- The suspects were arrested after a store investigation showed the suspects had repeatedly taken cash from the store. The male suspect would approach the register the female suspect was working to make his purchase and would give her $1 to pay and she would give him change for $100. The suspects were transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident. The female suspect was charged with Class A Misdemeanor Theft and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Xanax was found during the booking process). The male suspect was charged with State Jail Felony Theft due to two prior convictions.

The following Shoplifting arrests were made at 1201 Lake Woodlands:
10/26/2009 – White Male 18 yrs old, and two White Males 23yrs old. – The suspects selected 7 items, then passed several points of purchase without attempting to pay for the concealed merchandise and exited the store where they were then stopped by Loss Prevention officers and escorted back into the store and processed for theft. The recovered merchandise was valued at $314.48. The suspects were taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without further incident.

10/26/2009 – two White Females 19 yrs old – The suspects selected 5 items then passed several points of purchase without attempting to pay for the concealed merchandise and exited the store where they were then stopped by Loss Prevention officers and escorted back into the store and processed for theft. The recovered merchandise was valued at $207.99. The suspects were taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without further incident.

10/30/2009 – White Female 16 yrs old – The suspect selected 6 items, entered the fitting room where she concealed the items in her purse. She then passed several points of purchase without attempting to pay for the concealed merchandise and exited the store where she was then stopped by Loss Prevention officers and escorted back into the store and processed for theft. The recovered merchandise was valued at $50.95. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Facility without further incident.

November 1, 2009, Deputy D. Johnson was dispatched to 3040 College Park Drive in reference to a theft at the Wal-Mart. While in the parking lot he was flagged down in reference to 2 Hispanic Males, ages 23 and 21, harassing customers in the parking lot. He then observed the actor vehicle leaving the parking lot at a high rate of speed. He caught up to the vehicle and after running the registration determined it was stolen out of HPD. He initiated a traffic stop and the vehicle yielded on St. Luke’s Way. Upon stopping in the hospital parking lot the passenger in the vehicle bailed on foot. The driver was taken into custody without incident. Recovered inside the vehicle was a stolen purse (just stolen from Wal-Mart , and a stolen DL from original theft in Houston. Marijuana was also recovered out of the driver’s pocket. The second subject was located in Lake Land on foot. He had stolen money and stolen identification cards from the purse that was stolen at Wal-Mart. All of the stolen items from the purse were released to the owner. The vehicle was towed and listed as recovered. All other evidence was logged and secured. Suspects were charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Theft, and Evading.
