“MEN IN BLACK TAKE DANGEROUS DRIVER OFF THE ROAD” -ARRESTED FOR 4TH DWI

Just after 9 p.m., Saturday wrecker drivers alerted Montgomery County Precinct 4 Deputies to a pickup truck on US 59 near FM 1314 in which the driver seemed impaired. Deputies were able to stop the truck. The driver Gerardo Acosta, 51, of 2120 Chamberlin in Houston was arrested for DWI Third of More. In fact, this arrest was his fourth DWI. Acosta who had a 32ounce beer can which was almost empty in the front seat admitted having drunk three of them. He was having difficulty standing for the field sobriety tests. A mandatory blood draw was done at the hospital and he was transported to the Montgomery County Jail where a $15,000 bond has been set. Acosta’s first DWI was on February 9, 2001, when he was arrested in Harris County by DPS. That resulted in an 18-months probation. His second DWI was in Brazoria County on April 10, 2002 for which he was given 18-months probation. His third DWI was also in Harris County on September 26, 2004, in which he received 5-years probation.
