Early Wednesday morning Rowdy Hayden’s Precinct 4 Constables were patrolling businesses in the Valley Ranch Town Center when they spotted an Isuzu Ascender parked behind Bath and Body Works. Two males who were breaking into a truck behind Bath and Body Works ran from them. Additional units from Precinct 4 and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office converged on the area as the males ran across an open field at SH 99 and US 59. On male was captured. K-9 Harley located the second male in the field and he was taken into custody. Arrested were Alejandro Berrones, 37, of 21036 Briar Chase in Porter. He is charged with theft between $2500 and $30,000 and evading arrest and detention. Also arrested was Alberto Berrones, 33, of 21036 Briar Chase, in Porter. He is charged with evading arrest with previous conviction and theft $2500 to $30,000. The investigation is continuing as the same vehicle was captured on video on November 18 at the Skero’s Mattress and Furniture Store in Kingwood on Northpark Drive. The persons in that vehicle were responsible for cutting the catalytic converters out of all the delivery vehicles, shutting the business down for deliveries for an entire day. Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is investigating that case.
