Methed Up Passengers Go To Jail

A routine traffic stop around 6:30 p.m. Monday night in East Montgomery County resulted in a felony drug arrest. Pct. 4 Deputy Constables were patrolling the northbound main lanes of US 59 just south of the Creekwood exit when they witnessed a moving violation and initiated a traffic stop on a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup.

The truck had three occupants, including a female driver and two male passengers. The passengers behaved suspiciously and said they had prior arrests for a variety of charges. All three claimed there was no contraband in the vehicle such as weapons, drugs or stolen property. However, a search of the truck revealed a small sandwich bag containing methamphetamine. One of the passengers, Justin Allen, said the nearly 8 grams of meth belonged to him and he was charged with possession of the drug. The other passenger, Todd Seber, showed signs of impairment and admitted having smoked methamphetamine earlier.

Justin Ryley Allen, 26, of Splendora is charged with second-degree felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Todd Brockman Seber, 25, of New Caney is charged with Public Intoxication.

The female driver was not arrested.
